Master Students Participate in Virtual Enrichment Programme

30 Master students in Huddersfield Business School (HBS) have participated in a dedicated enrichment programme put on by the School's partner, the Politecnico de Milano Graduate School of Business (MIP). The programme was designed especially for HBS students and consisted of four, weekly, four-hour, sessions. The topics included Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing, Digital Transformation, Design Driven Innovation and Fintech.

Dr Nicola Stenberg, MBA Course Leader, says: "I am delighted that MBA and other Master students had the opportunity to benefit from experts at Politecnico de Milano, one of Europe's leading business schools. The feedback from our students about the usefulness of these session has been very positive.  They have highlighted the high-quality content and valued the opportunity to use current business case studies to explore the ideas introduced in the sessions."   One student described the programme as 'profound and engaging' and another student has been inspired to design a research project about digital transformation in business.

Prof John Anchor, Associate Dean (International) in Huddersfield Business School, says "I am delighted by the outcomes of this first step in our new co-operation with the Politecnico di Milano. I hope that this virtual mobility programme will be repeated next year or even replaced by a physical mobility so that our students can visit Italian businesses and sample the delights of Milan. We also have plans for students from Milan to participate in the Global Professional module which our Master students take. MIP are particularly interested in their students taking intercultural awareness training."
