Brightspace is here!

A very  big thank you to all of you for working so hard to transform your teaching materials for our move to Brightspace, and to all the teams involved in the transition, training and support.  There are some fabulous materials there now and it’s easy to see how the opportunities offered by the new VLE have encouraged some very creative thinking.  It’s a really big job though, and has involved a lot of work from a lot of people.  The decision to move was not one we took lightly. 

Modules attached to courses that follow a standard year will not be available in UniLearn, so it is crucial that everything has been created in Brightspace now – as students will be checking for information and resources soon, if they are not doing so already.  Please do check that you have finalised all your modules.

Thank you all once again.  I have heard nothing but positive reports from other institutions using this VLE and I hope that once we have ironed out any teething problems, staff and students alike will find it makes teaching more satisfying and that it will be easy to use.
