Team Huddersfood are celebrating this week, after being awarded The Best Catering Services Team at the Annual Awards Dinner by TUCO. Team members were invited to attend the annual TUCO conference, together with other university catering colleagues and suppliers, after being shortlisted in two categories.

Katy Robinson, graduate intern, was nominated as ‘Rising Star’ of the team. The whole team were put forward for Best Catering Services Team. Not only did they win the award, but the team received the highest scores by all the judges, in all three categories.

Michaela Booth, Catering Operations Manager, couldn’t be prouder of the team, “Everyone has worked so hard and really supported my vision to grow and develop Huddersfood. We’ve pushed to make changes and improve the service we offer across the catering and hospitality service we offer across campus.  Getting this award is a great way to recognise all the hard work we’ve put in together”.

Colin Blair, Director of Estates, is thrilled with the award, “Michaela and the team really deserve this recognition. To be awarded The Best Catering Services Team is fantastic and reflects how hard everyone has worked. Michaela joined the University last year and has done an amazing job, by sharing a vision and leading the team forward to make it happen. I’m excited to see what the team will deliver moving forward”.
