Flexible postgraduate study options
Many of our courses are offered at our Queensgate campus in the heart of Huddersfield, and may include traditional lectures, seminars, discussion groups, projects and more. However, we also have various flexible postgraduate study options available to support your lifestyle and commitments.
How can you be flexible with your studies?
We carefully consider our students' needs when designing our courses; you can find variations in start dates, location of study and blended learning already available in many of our courses.
- Flexible start dates - While most of our courses start in September, many of our postgraduate options are also available with a January or April start date. Use our coursefinder tool to filter courses by start date.
- Distance learning - Many of our courses offer a distance learning option, allowing you to to have more flexibility to study online.
- Blended learning - Some of our postgraduate courses naturally combine a mix of on-campus lessons and online learning tools, meaning you aren't restricted to 100% on-campus learning.

Are you interested in part-time postgraduate study?
Many of our postgraduate taught degrees and all of our research degrees can be studied part-time to suit your lifestyle and commitments. Bit more info about this, i.e. can you choose your part-time schedule, how many hours etc?
You may wish to combine a part-time degree with other flexible options, such as distance learning or blended learning to allow for opportunities to complete your studies online.
