If you're interested in applying for a research scholarship, please note that the first step is to submit an Expression of Interest form, rather than a direct application. This form helps us understand your background and research goals before moving you into the next stage.

Who are we looking for?
We welcome applications from individuals with strong qualifications and a high level of motivation for research. Please note that as a result of this, the scholarship process is competitive and includes an interview.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to attend an interview in person or via Teams. Following the interview stage, studentships will be offered to the strongest applicants.
How are scholarships funded?
Scholarships are funded for a maximum of 3 years, subject to satisfactory annual performance and a progression review. Depending on the type of scholarship we will provide tuition fee waivers and, where applicable, a tax-free stipend, paid monthly.
How to submit your form
- Check individual scholarship advertisements for the correct application deadline.
- Complete the Expression of Interest Form .
- Ensure you check and attach all required documents about the specific scholarship you are applying for.
- Provide references from two individuals.
Completed forms, including all relevant documents and any general application queries should be submitted via-email to gs.pgradmissions@hud.ac.uk.
Informal enquiries about individual projects should be directed to the lead supervisor listed for each project.

If you do not attach all the relevant documentation prior to the closing date advertised on the scholarship information page your application will not be considered.
