Stage 1 - Pre-Enrolment (online)

Completing pre-enrolment on the MyHud portal.

  1. Once you have received your unconditional offer from the University, you will receive an email from enrolment@hud.ac.uk asking you to complete your online pre-enrolment and with a link to the portal. If you do not have an unconditional offer you cannot pre-enrol.
  2. Follow the link in the email and log back in to your MyHud portal. You will be asked to update your UK term-time address and mobile phone number. If you do not have these yet, please use your current home address and update once you have your UK address confirmed.
  3. You must upload a clear photograph; this will be used on your student ID card that you will collect from the University during Stage 2 of enrolment.
  4. Make sure you answer all questions and fields on every page. You will be asked to confirm your tuition fee responsibilities and agree to your future payment deadlines so please read this carefully.

Pre-enrolment for courses starting in May 2024 opens on Monday 8 April 2024, if you receive your unconditional offer before this date, you will receive your pre-enrolment email on Monday 8 April 2024.

Stage 2 - Enrolment and ID card collection

In person immigration check at the International Office in Student Central building, Level 4, behind iPoint reception desk

  1. 24 hours after your pre-enrolment has been completed, you will receive an email from enrolment@hud.ac.uk asking you to collect your student ID card.
  2. You will need to bring all of the following documents that apply to you:
    • Your passport with stamped vignette. This is the visa sticker in your passport, it will have been stamped with your date of entry by immigration control at the UK airport where you arrived. See an example of a passport vignette
    • If you have another kind of immigration permission such as Dependant/Skilled Worker/Diplomat/BNO visa, please upload this.
    • Your BRP card. You will need to collect this from the Post Office when you arrive in Huddersfield. You must visit the Post Office before visiting us to collect your ID Card.
    • Your visa decision letter from the UKVI. Example UKVI decision letter.
    • If you have a share code from the UKVI, please generate this. 
  3. If you did not update your UK local term-time address during your pre-enrolment, please bring details of this to your appointment.

Please be aware that we cannot complete your enrolment or issue your student ID card if you do not bring the documents listed above or have a current local address.

Stage 3 - Enrolment confirmation

  1. 24 hours after you have collected your student ID card, you will receive an email from enrolment@hud.ac.uk confirming your enrolment.
