The Department of Fashion and Textiles in the School of Art, Design and Architecture, would like to invite you to take part in our first series of Public Lectures covering exciting advances in fashion and textiles.

The Department of Fashion and Textiles at the University of Huddersfield excels in the areas of teaching and learning, technology, innovation and research. We have a goal of achieving disciplinary excellence in Fashion and Textiles while fostering interdisciplinary research. We aspire to provide a world-leading research platform in design, technology and in the interface between design and technology. We collaborate with external as well and internal stakeholders to promote and conduct cutting-edge fundamental and applied research. We have achieved worldwide recognition for merging traditional methods with new and digital technology and we aim to maintain this reputation as well as being recognised for excellence in manufacturing, creativity, skill and business, promotion and marketing.

Our Public Lectures are free and open to all. Our aim is for you to hear some of the leaders in their fields, from the wider fashion and textiles community.
