One-third of the world’s population does not have access to essential medicines and the factors include, high drug prices, weak health systems, corruption, transparency and the governing laws and regulations. In this lecture, Professor Babar will discuss the key challenges of providing affordable medicines in the context of increasing life expectancy, the emergence of new resistance microbes and in an increasingly informed society.


This lecture will take place in the Oastler Building on the main Queensgate Campus.  The lecture begins at 6.30pm with complimentary refreshments served from 6.00pm.
