Event details

Art of Connection brings together two artists’ responses to their experiences of working creatively with people and communities.

Through a series of photographic portraits, Chris Chinnock reflects on his own journey in community work, featuring some of the people who have inspired, influenced and supported him along the way. The portraits explore the personal stories, motivations, challenges and experiences of those who dedicate themselves to working with others.

Jo McFarlane’s illustrations draw inspiration from the themes, conversations and connections that have emerged through her creative community practice. The work reflects on the people Jo has encountered, the relationships formed and the moments that have stayed with her, offering a personal interpretation of her experiences of working with communities.

This exhibition is part of an Arts Council England funded project developed by Our Creative Connection.
