The Global Learner

Do you want to study from anywhere in the world?

With Distance Learning study at the University of Huddersfield, you can gain a highly respected UK qualification without leaving home, and join a university that connects you with an international community.

It’s not always possible or practical for international students to relocate across the world in order to further their studies. Many wish to stay close to family and friends, and stay in their employment without the costs associated with travel, accommodation and visas when studying overseas.

But with online degrees, those commitments don’t need to hold you back from achieving your career goals.

Ivana's experience of the Management MSc course

For Ivana, studying Management MSc (Distance Learning), coming to the UK wasn’t an option. She says that as a parent of two children, and with a successful career, studying online gave her the:

“chance to earn a high-quality UK degree without compromising my personal life and career. It also made studying financially possible by removing the extra costs of living abroad”.

Stefano's experience of the Artificial Intelligence MS course

For Stefano, living in Italy, studying online meant that geography didn’t restrict him from choosing the best degree for him. Stefano describes his experience on the course as:

“one of the best decisions I have ever made. It’s proof that with motivation, structure, and the right support system, you can achieve great things, no matter where in the world you are.”

There were only two degrees in Artificial Intelligence MSc (Distance Learning) that met his needs and he decided on Huddersfield, whilst continuing to work full-time. He was however, able to travel to the UK for the on-campus graduation ceremony, which he said was ‘awesome’ and meant he could celebrate his academic achievements with course mates and tutors.
