Welcome to History at Huddersfield, home to a friendly team of accredited teachers and leading academic researchers. During your studies you will have the opportunity to engage with a range of approaches and sources covering political, social, medical, religious and gender history. We are looking forward go guiding you through working with primary source materials, drawing on writing and pictorial sources, on novels and films, and using and creating digital materials. A unique feature of your course is the second year Work Placement module, when you have the chance to gain graduate-level experience for five weeks at places such as the Royal Armouries Museum, West Yorkshire Archives, or as teaching assistant in schools or colleges. In your third year, you can follow this experience up by working on a dissertation enabling you to pursue a topic of your choosing under the guidance of a member of history team.
