In September 2020, the following scholarships are offered to students who meet the eligibility criteria enrolled on the following courses: Music Technology and Audio Systems BSc(Hons), Sound Engineering and Music Production BSc(Hons).

Music Technology Academic Scholarship – £1,000 for BBB students*

* Eligibility criteria – Home/EU students who achieve BBB at A Level or equivalent for other qualifications and who enrol at the University on one of the courses stated above will receive a scholarship of £1,000. This will be paid in Year 1 of study in two instalments: £500 upon completion of the first semester with good engagement records (90% or above) and the second instalment of £500 on successful completion of the first year with an average academic achievement of more than 65% plus a good engagement record of above 90%.

Music Technology Excellence Scholarship – £3,000 (£1000 per year for three years) for ABB or above students**

** Eligibility criteria – Home/EU students who achieve ABB or above at A Level or equivalent for other qualifications and enrol at the University on one of the courses stated above will receive a scholarship of £3,000. This will be paid in the first, second and final years of study in three equal instalments. In the first year, £1,000 will be paid upon successful completion of the first semester subject to an engagement record of 90% or above. Students who progress into the second year will be paid £1,000 upon successful completion of the first semester, subject to an engagement record of 90% or above and an average academic achievement record for their first year of 65% or above. Students who progress into the final year will be paid £1,000 upon successful completion of the first semester, subject to an engagement record of 90% or above and an average academic achievement record for their second year of 65% or above.

Please note:

  • Should a student, at any point, fall below the thresholds outlined above, they will lose their scholarship entitlement and would not receive any further payments even if their standing subsequently achieves the thresholds.
  • Students will not receive scholarship payments during a year out (e.g. workplace sandwich year).
  • Arrangements for part-time students will be on a pro-rata basis depending on their course length.
