The School of Computing and Engineering offers scholarships to students who meet the eligibility criteria. Please see below for details.

Engineering Foundation Year Scholarship – £1,000*

* Eligibility criteria – Home/EU students who achieve 64 at A Level, or equivalent for other qualifications, and who enrol at the University on the course stated above in either September 2017 or September 2018 will receive a scholarship of £1,000, upon satisfying the following criteria:

  • Successfully complete the Engineering Foundation Year, having maintained a good engagement record of above 90% and obtaining an academic record of over 60%;
  • Progress onto a BEng or MEng programme within our Department of Engineering and Technology at the University of Huddersfield and maintaining a good engagement record of above 90% on the first year of the BEng/MEng course;
  • Successfully complete the first year of the BEng/MEng course with an average academic achievement of over 60%.

The scholarship will be paid upon successful completion of the first year of the BEng/MEng in one instalment at the end of the academic year.

Please note:

For this Scholarship scheme, should a student, at any point, fall below the thresholds outlined above, they will lose their scholarship entitlement and will not receive any payment, even if their standing subsequently achieves the thresholds.

Arrangements for part-time students will be on a pro-rata basis depending on their course length.
