I knew during my postgraduate studies I would need access to specialist equipment. Luckily, everything I needed was close at hand on campus, including a 24-hour library with subject specialists and a Research Librarian, plus state-of-the-art computer, science and technology labs.

I was surprised at how many new, beautifully designed buildings there are on campus. Huddersfield Business School and the Creative Arts Building both have modern, light teaching spaces and handy places to grab a coffee or meet with friends. The new Student Central opened this year and has great choices for lunch, my favourites are the Starbucks coffee bar and the freshly baked pizza from Neo Pizza. The new gym is also very impressive – they have a wide range of classes which I can fit around my study time.

Right from the moment I stepped foot on to the University of Huddersfield’s campus, I knew that this was the place for me. It has a range of the latest facilities centred around a modern campus.

In the music department you are spoilt for choice with the fantastic technological facilities available. I often use the surround sound music studios whenever I am composing or editing music for on and off screen projects. If I need to record some audio then the music tech store has everything in order to record what I need. Also, if I ever need a guitar on quick notice, they offer them as well.
