About the webinar

As part of your Huddersfield journey, we would like to invite you to this weekly webinar that we are hosting for South and Southeast Asian students who are starting their programme with us in September 2022.

The International Office team will be presenting the different stages of joining Huddersfield, applying for a visa, arriving to the UK, your enrolment steps, booking accommodation and booking your flights.

You will also have the opportunity to take part on our Questions & Answers session at the end and chat to our International Office team.
This session is limited to current applicants from South and South East Asia.

Please make sure you have downloaded the Microsoft (MS) teams app before joining a webinar.

We will not be answering questions surrounding individual application/admissions/immigration statuses. Please do not share any personal information or details when present at webinars.

The Middle East & Africa (MEA) Team at the University of Huddersfield is currently hosting weekly online information sessions.

Date: Every Wednesday 

Time: 11am – 12pm (UK Time)

About the information session

The information session is primarily a presentation webinar, where one of the MEA support staff delivers a presentation on important areas, such as:

• What to expect when you have applied for a course at the University
• Your next steps if/when you have received an offer 
• Meeting conditions
• Scholarships
• How to get as much information and support as possible
• Webinars
• Important dates and tips
• Getting your CAS
• Visa/enrolment stages

The format

The presentation usually lasts for 30-40 minutes and the team will generally present the same information/guidance each week (unless key updates need to be added), thus, you do not have to attend each week as you will see repeated information provided. 

There will be 20 minutes for a question and answer after the presentation with the host, but please do not ask questions about individual cases/requests, we will be only covering general aspects of the application journey.
