On the day, you will see our Student Ambassadors in orange T-shirts across the University campus and the train station. They will point you in the right direction and answer any questions that you might have about life in Huddersfield.

Getting here

The University is a 10 minute walk from Huddersfield train station. On the day one of our Student Ambassadors, will be at the station from 8:45 to 11:15 to direct you to the University campus.

Whether you're arriving at one of our Open Days by car, train, bus or on foot, you can find out how to get here on our maps and directions webpages to help you with your journey. You can download our Open Day Campus Map to help you find your way around the campus, and for directions to the University car parks and Open Day check-in desks.

Car parking

There is a limited amount of free car parking available on the day which is allocated on first come, first served basis.

Two car parks will be available: Queen Street South (HD1 3DU) and Print Works (HD1 6RZ) car parks. Staff and student ambassadors will be at the car parks to direct you to the Open Day check-in area.

Should these car parks be full there are a number of alternative public car parks nearby, both long and short stay, and within walking distance of the University campus and the town centre. For more public car parking options please refer to the Google map of public car parks in Huddersfield.
