Atikarn Tungisarapap, President, Thai Student Society

“On behalf of the society, I would like to welcome all new Thai students to the University of Huddersfield. We try to bring all Thai students who study in Huddersfield together as a community. The society is more like a second home for Thai students to meet new friends with different age groups and get to know students from both the UK and around the world. People are sharing ideas and experience of living in England and helping each other when they need. Each term we arrange some meetings and activities to do together as a team for students to get an opportunity to keep in touch and know each other more. Sometimes we have activities combined with other societies from all around the world to learn more about their languages and cultures. The most important aim is we always ensure that none of our members get left behind or feel lonely and they can come to talk with us whenever they need. Please don’t hesitate to contact us via social media or email: campusevents@hud.ac.uk Equally if any British students are interested in our country and culture, we welcome you along too.”
