Simple sugars are more than just the fuels that power our bodies. In this lecture Dr Camp will discuss the multitude of roles that sugars play not only within our bodies, but also how they are increasingly used to make everyday goods as well as fuels for cars and airplanes. He will also review novel research into the use of simple sugars to power chemical reactions, including recent developments from scientists at the University of Huddersfield.
