Facilities 

Meeting rooms, lecture theatres and concert hall

An extensive range of meeting rooms and lecture theatres are available for hire after 5:30pm and at weekends. Out of term time there is availability at other times. There are several lecture theatres seating between 100 and 280 delegates‎.
All rooms are equipped with up to date AV facilities and wi-fi is available on campus.
Meeting and conference facilities are located in both contemporary and historical buildings.
The converted Church facility, St Pauls Concert Hall, is available for hire on Saturdays and Sundays during term time and at other times out of term time. The hall is equipped with a pipe organ and Steinway concert pianos. There are 220 fixed tiered seats. The capacity of the hall is 400 including performers.

Car Parking

There are a limited number of visitor parking spaces available for organisers and presenters by prior arrangement. There are 2 pay and display multi-storey car parks close to the University campus. There is a free town bus service linking the bus and railway stations to the University campus. There is a regular 10 minute service throughout the day.

Catering and refreshments

Catering is provided by our in-house University Catering Services.  The Conference and Events Menu is suitable for daytime meetings and events.  Bespoke menus can be provided on request for any occasion.

Where possible we source regional and seasonal produce.

The University is a Fairtrade University.  All Coffee, Tea and sugar, served to students, staff and visitors is Fairtrade.

Residential Accommodation

Single en-suite student rooms are available for residential conferences and meetings during July and August. Located on Firth Street, adjacent to the University campus. Please contact the Conference and Events Manager for further details.

Location

The Queensgate Campus, is within easy reach of the motorway network, Leeds Bradford and Manchester airports and main rail links. There is easy access to the Peak District National Park, the National Mining Museum, Holmfirth, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and a number of other places of interest.
The University campus is situated on the restored Huddersfield Narrow Canal and only a 5 minute walk from the town centre.
