About the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES)

BASES is the professional body for sport and exercise sciences nationally and internationally. It's their role to maintain professional standards across the industry. To do this they run an award called the BASES Undergraduate Endorsement Scheme (BUES).

This award shows the courses where you can develop the essential knowledge and skills to enter into the profession. When reviewing a sport science degree, BASES considers the following:

  • the resources and facilities of the institution

Endorsement is awarded to degree courses that met the necessary criteria required to succeed as a sport scientist. Including:
