It’s official! If you choose to come and study at the University of Huddersfield, you will be coming to one of the happiest towns in the country according to a national survey.
Huddersfield came third in the whole of the UK in the survey carried out by property portal, Rightmove. The research questioned 25,000 people about their level of contentment covering everything from friendliness of neighbours, safety and the quality of local amenities.
Huddersfield is certainly popular amongst the student population. In 2011, the University of Huddersfield came top in the world in a survey of 48,000 international students for student experience.
With its mixture of rolling countryside, fantastic buildings and proximity to cities such as Leeds and Manchester, it is easy to see why Huddersfield is regarded as such a great place to live.
