Care leavers

We know that care leavers have particular concerns about higher education – you might be worried about not having somewhere to return to during the holidays.  Another concern is finance – you might be worried about how to finance your studies, your living costs, and your accommodation during holidays.  We’re glad to say that here at the University of Huddersfield we can help on both those fronts.   The Wellbeing Services Team can help you access the £2,000 bursary the university offers care leavers throughout the course of their undergraduate study.  You can also get information about support through the Access to Learning fund from Student Finance, as Care leavers are a priority group for this assistance.  We also offer year round accommodation.
