Teachers' and Advisers' Conference and CPD Opportunities

Highlights from previous Teachers' and Advisers Conferences 

In 2015 we followed the success of the 2014 conference giving the opportunity to gain updates on key issues, network with colleagues, view the campus and attend subject specific sessions. 

Speakers in 2015 included Professor Bob Cryan and Professor John Playle.  

Here is some of the excellent feedback recieved on the day.  

The first session by Bob was excellent, he clearly knew the university and was able to get across his passion for the university. The second session was good but did repeat a few items from the first session.

Really interesting and informative sessions - don't we have a fantastic university on our doorstep.

I am extremely pleased as an ex student, staff member & resident of Huddersfield that the University is doing so well.

As always, an excellent, really useful day. It's great to make contact with subject departments and I really appreciated the tour of the science facilities.

Our free 2014 teachers' and advisers' conference, “Educating England” provided a chance for delegates to attend a variety of sessions designed to give updates on key issues, explore career development opportunities, discover the help available to prepare students for HE and much more.

Speakers at the conference included Jonny Mitchell (Head of Thornhill Community Academy – featured on Educating Yorkshire), Margaret Farragher (Policy and Research – UCAS), Professor Peter Slee (then Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Huddersfield) and Professor Christine Jarvis (then Dean of the School of Education and Professional Development).

Thanks to all concerned - it was a smashing day, the alumni did you proud & it has simply confirmed my already positive opinion of Huddersfield University.
