The University of Huddersfield is pleased to be able to offer a number of scholarships for students from the UK and from overseas.

The National Scholarship Programme (NSP) offers up to 1000 scholarships of £3000 to help towards tuition fees in the first year of study.

  • The NSP will be automatically awarded to those students who have applied through Student Finance England and who meet the specific criteria.
  • Students will receive a letter in September to let them know if they have been successful with their application.
  • The £3000 scholarship will be awarded as a fee reduction in the first year of study only. The University will contact Student Finance England and the £3000 will be deducted from your tuition fee.
  • There are specific criteria to qualify for the scholarship and some exclusions do apply. Please see the principles and rules for full details.

To make the process as easy as possible for applicants, there in no need to fill out an application form. The University will automatically submit applications for all students who meet the relevant criteria.

The NSP fund at the University of Huddersfield recently reached £1 million following donations from the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bob Cryan and local philanthropist and founder of Galpharm, Graham Leslie.
