Fees and Finance 2011/12

If you’re starting a course at Huddersfield this autumn, don’t worry; the changes to student funding announced by the Government won’t affect you. Even so, time is running out so please consider the following:

If you have applied for a course at the University of Huddersfield through clearing, there’s still time to get some student finance in time for the start of your course but you need to apply now at www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance

If you have changed your course/institution as a result of the clearing process, you will need to let Student Finance (Direct.gov) know about this. You can do this quickly and easily by logging into your student finance account at www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance and change your details – even if you applied on paper.

Remember, you need to sign and return your declaration form to Student Finance (Direct.gov) and register at the University before any finance can be paid.

Here are some useful links to get you started: visit www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance for all things student finance. To work out what funding you might get, go to: www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinancecalculator.
