The aim of the Creative Textile Craft course is to provide you with a stimulating environment in which you can develop your aesthetic, intellectual and multimedia textile craft skills. We encourage you to realise your aspirations and build your 'crafts' identity by learning through making approach. A series of modules and projects enable you to gain experience in many craft areas including printing/hand printing, embroidery, weaving,knitting, feltmaking and rugtufting.

The textile department's workshops are extensive and excellently equipped to allow you to explore a wide range of both new and traditional materials and technologies. Also, 'state of the art' CAD systems can help you to develop and present your ideas

Career opportunities for designer /maker in the creative industry include television, theatre, gallery/museums, fashion and interiors. Teaching or art/craft therapy offer additional career opportunities
