We believe it’s vital that our postgraduate students are fully equipped with the skills required to effectively undertake a research degree and to make a smooth transition into employment. In response to this we’ve created a comprehensive research training programme to ensure you become a well-rounded researcher equipped with the skills to thrive in challenging environments. This training is monitored by the University and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). The structure and content of the programme has been built around QAA and UK Research Council guidelines and recommendations, and the Research Councils’ Joint Skills Statement (JSS).
