We take the environment offered to our postgraduate researchers seriously and have recently opened the Convivium. The Convivium has been designed to provide postgraduate researchers with a space where they can meet other researchers from different disciplines, to share experiences, generate new ideas and to relax.
The University also hosts an annual postgraduate research conference that is organised by the research students with support from staff. This event is well attended and covers issues relating to support in your research studies, your Viva Voce exam, how to make an impact when publishing your work and presenting to the media. In addition, there are numerous guest speakers that attend the themed conferences, which have previously included Dr Iain Cameron, Head of Research Careers and Diversity (RCUK).
