Staying on at university after you complete your undergraduate degree or coming back to university following a break from education can be a big thing. Whether you already live in Huddersfield or whether you are moving here specifically to study, we can provide you with all the information you need about accommodation and things to do in the area.
Huddersfield
The University has a number of accommodation options. Some of these are more suited to undergraduates and can be a great place to meet new people and socialise in between your studies, however some are more suited to our returning students, studying for a postgraduate qualification.
Digs is our recognised accommodation provider and they have various options for students at both the Storthes Hall site and the Ashenhurst site. Both these sites are in easy reach of the University with Ashenhurst a short walk and Storthes Hall a 15 minute bus ride away. Traditionally, Storthes Hall has a greater undergraduate population, however there are still a number of postgraduate students based out at Storthes.
If you have a group of friends who are staying on at University or you have an idea of people you may wish to share with, you can ask to be housed with these people at Storthes Hall. Ashenhurst typically has a more laid back atmosphere and attracts a lot of postgraduate students due to its close proximity to the town centre and campus.
For those students who wish to find their own accommodation within the town, there are lots of options in and around Huddersfield so you can find a place that's just right for you.
