Anne Davis is an independent consultant specialising in financial ethics and the governance of not-for-profit organisations. She previously worked at the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales) as Integrity and Ethics Manager (2004-2010) and as Head of Charities and the Voluntary Sector, (2010-2013). She was the author of the ICAEWs Reporting with Integrity report (2007) and of Instilling Integrity in Organisations (2009). She has written numerous articles and case studies and has made many presentations on ethics for professional audiences.
As Head of Charity and Voluntary Sector at ICAEW, Anne had responsibility for shaping ICAEW's engagement with the sector and delivery of technical and member support. This included representations to consultations, delivery of events, communication and advice to members.
Anne is an Economics graduate of the University of Cambridge and a Chartered Accountant (FCA). She also holds a PgDip in Charity Accounting and Financial Management (with Distinction) from the Cass Business School, City University London. She trained with Coopers & Lybrand and has also held financial and management roles with National Provincial Building Society (now part of Santander), Whitbread and General Motors Asset Management.
Anne is treasurer for Carers Trust Cambridgeshire and trustee for the Coalition for Efficiency.
