Leanne graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2006 with a first class honours degree in BSc (Hons) Applied Criminology (Criminal and Community Justice). Since then, Leanne has been employed as a Research Assistant in the Applied Criminology Centre (ACC). Leanne has a specific interest in the field of designing out crime and is currently undertaking a part-time PhD entitled: Mainstreaming Designing Out Crime?: Assessing the Impact of Greater Manchester Police Design for Security Consultancy.
Leanne has also co-edited a special edition of the Built Environment journal entitled International Perspectives on Planning for Crime Prevention and is currently co-editing a special edition of the Safer Communities journal entitled 'Designing out Crime: Voices from the Fields' which is due to be published in October 2013.
