Biography

Sarah trained as a Physiotherapist at the University of the West of England, Bristol. Since graduation, Sarah has worked in a variety of clinical locations and then completed a Master of Medical Science degree in Sports Medicine at the University of Glasgow in 2001. Her MSc research looked into the relationship between the menstrual cycle and musculoskeletal injuries as this is her area of clinical interest. Sarah joined the University of Huddersfield in 2004 having previously lectured on the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy degree at London Metropolitan University.  Sarah has also completed a MA in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and has a special interest in widening access and diversity in education. Sarah is also actively involved in clinical research, where she is looking into patient information following whiplash injury. Sarah also has a research and recreational interest in ballroom dancing and its benefits for physical and mental health and is now a PhD candidate in this field of research.
