I am a qualified Social Worker and am registered as such with the GSCC. Most of my social work experience has been within the field of substance misuse, as a practitioner and as a manager. I also have some experience of working within The Probation Service and in a hospital setting.
I have a Masters Degree in Drugs Intervention Studies and a Post-Grad Certificate In Professional Studies (Management).
I am course leader for the MSc Social Work. I am module leader for the MSc practice modules. I also teach on our Practice Educator courses at level one and two.
I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I have a continuing interest in substance misuse and an interest in practice learning.
