I joined the University in 1997 and currently Senior Lecturer in the Division of Health and Well Being supporting the delivery of BSc (Hons) Health and Community Studies. During my time at Huddersfield I have fulfilled a number of roles including module and course leadership of several health related courses.
Research and Scholarship
I am currently in the process of implementing a funded Peer Assisted Learning Project using the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). This project explores the use and effectiveness of the VLE in providing facilitated peer support across the undergraduate programme at a remote campus, with the aim of enriching the student experience by promoting “belonging” and engagement with the academic community. This project will report in the Spring of 2013. Additionally, to promote students' engagement and enhance the quality of formative feedback within the student community, I have developed and lead a further small scale funded project that explores the use of multiple format “e based” formative feedback. This project is due to report in the Summer of 2013.
