Quality counts - Highest score for Huddersfield in quality review
The University has achieved the highest scores available in a recent Government quality review that took place just before Christmas.
The UK’s national quality watch-dog, the Quality Assurance Agency, reviewed five academic areas – Psychology, Music, Business Studies, Accountancy, and Chemistry – as a measure of the overall quality of the University.
The report confirms the assessors’ confidence in the quality of these programmes and complete confidence in the future management of academic standards at the University.
The report praises good practice in student induction and support, supervision and personal tutorial arrangements and the continual focus on student needs.
“This is the highest possible outcome available under the recently-reformed quality audit scheme,” said the University’s Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Mike Page. “It confirms the quality of the courses available here at Huddersfield and recognises the commitment of our academic and Student Services staff.”
