Learning, Leadership and Employment Research Group (LLERG)

Strategies that deliver effective leadership together with strong individual and organizational learning are critical challenges for organizations regardless of size or sector. Organizational context, however, is constantly evolving as changing social expectations among the public and among employees call for fresh and innovative responses to the ways that organizations and people are led.

Responding to this changing environment, the Learning, Leadership and Employment Research Group at Huddersfield is an interdisciplinary group that connects staff across the University. The Group carries out research in four related areas to enhance both theoretical and practical understanding especially in relation to leadership and management development, work-based learning and the ageing workforce.

Group members bring expertise from a range of backgrounds including extensive experience in business practice and working with post-experience students on the design and delivery of management development programmes.
