Induction programme and term times

To help you settle in we have arranged a programme of events that will enable you to enrol with the University and register with all the necessary authorities as well as giving you the opportunity to meet other new students, find out more about your course, and become familiar with the campus and town.

Enrol with the International Office

You will need to enrol with the International Office located in the Central Services Building. Please go to the International Office desk in the Student Centre for help with this.

Attend Welcome Week

For students studying at the University for the first time it is important that you attend this.

It includes an orientation event, which is an informal meeting where new international students can meet in a relaxed environment. It is also an opportunity to ask University support staff any questions which may have arisen during enrolment.

The Students’ Union also organises a number of day trips for international students, offering you the chance to see more of the UK during your time studying. More information about these trips and other international student events will be available on the International Office and Students’ Union websites.
