Our aim is to provide as much financial assistance as possible, so if you win a scholarship it will apply to all years of your course.
We have an extensive scholarship programme to help well-qualified international students to study in Huddersfield.
All self-funding international applicants with overseas fee status applying for undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes will automatically be considered for these scholarships and will be notified of their assessed status in their offer letter and through our applicant portal.
Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievements and the standard of English language that an applicant will reach, so it is important to submit all of your transcripts with your application.
These scholarships are available for all start dates in the year and for the full duration and each year of a course. If you are accepted to progress from one of our undergraduate courses to one of our postgraduate courses you may also qualify for a generous progression scholarship.
The University will award named discretionary scholarships of £2,000 per annum to applicants who meet our criteria. Applicants:

To mark Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee, and 60 years of her reign, the University of Huddersfield is offering sixty £1,000 scholarships to self-funding Masters' students from commonwealth countries.
These scholarships are available to self-funding (not sponsored) students who are Commonwealth nationals applying for a full-time taught Master's course (not research) and will be in addition to any other scholarship that the School may award.
Once you have applied for your course and received an offer from the University, you will be able to find the Jubilee Scholarship Application Form on our Applicant Portal, along with your offer and details of any other scholarship that you may have also been awarded. Please read the guidance carefully.
The Jubilee Scholarship awards will be made by a judging panel and successful applicants will be notified by e-mail in 2012.
The final deadline for scholarship applications is 31st of July 2012 and all successful applicants will be notified by email by 15th of August 2012.
The University of Huddersfield Business School is pleased to invite applications for the newly established Business School Scholarship. The scholarships are available for students undertaking a full time taught Master’s degree course starting in September 2012.
The scholarship scheme, is only open to students from Ghana, Jordan and Vietnam, and will reward excellent students in their home countries with the opportunity to study at Huddersfield for free and with additional financial support towards their living costs.
We are looking for 3 exceptional students with an outstanding academic record and are also able to communicate, through the application process, how obtaining a Master’s degree at Huddersfield will contribute to their own ambitions and the social or economic development of their country.
All applicants for a Scholarship must first receive an offer of a place on their chosen course, which must be a course offered by the Business School.
The 3 successful students who are awarded a Scholarship will have their tuition fees paid and on enrolment will receive £4,000 towards the costs of living in Huddersfield.

These are for all self-funded international students who are progressing from undergraduate (Bachelor’s) to postgraduate (Master’s) taught programmes at the University. You must have achieved a 2:1 (Upper Second) at the University of Huddersfield and be applying for postgraduate admission within two years of graduation to be considered eligible for one of these awards. International students progressing from off-campus programmes are also eligible for scholarships under this scheme and no separate application is required.
There are now two bursaries available to African students to help them study Education at University of Huddersfield. The first is open to all international students and is for £2,000 and the second is open to self-funding students from African states intending to study Education. This bursary is also worth £2,000, so this is a total of £4,000 available to self-funding students from African countries studying in the School of Education and Professional Development.
