Course Booking Procedure

Before booking onto any staff development event you should discuss the following with your manager:

  • why you want to attend the event
  • what you want to do differently / better as a result of attending
  • how you hope to put this into practice.

How to Book

To book a place on a course, please email Staff Development Admin Office and copy in your Line Manager .

Places are allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis. Confirmation will be sent to you on receipt of your booking and joining instructions two weeks before the session. If the session is full you will be notified and your name placed on the waiting list.

Feedback

Each session will be evaluated by the participants. Following the session you should provide your manager with a brief evaluation report about the event. Comments about the programme in general are always welcome and should be addressed to Staff Development.

Catering Arrangements

Events lasting longer than half a day will usually have lunch provided. There are always vegetarian options available. Participants who have other dietary needs should contact one of the training administrators on ext 2799, 2713 or 2057.

Disability

When you register for a course please state any particular requirements relating to disabilities on the booking form and we will do our best to accommodate these.

Liability

Staff Development reserves the right to amend or cancel the programme at any time.

Cancellation

Please remember that if you have booked on to an event it is important that you attend or cancel in plenty of time. If you find that you are unable to attend a course, you should contact one of the Training Administrators on ext 2799 as soon as possible so that your place may be reallocated, as many of the events are oversubscribed and have a waiting list.
