New and replacement cards are available from Library Services Reception Counter (Central Services Building, level 4). The service is available throughout the staffed opening times of the Learning Centre. New staff will be given an authorisation form to take to Library Services when they attend at Personnel Services on their first day at work. As long as you have been issued with a Staff Campus ID card (see the "How do I obtain my Campus ID card?" FAQ) you are automatically a borrowing member of the University Library. Further information is available from Lending Services.

Yes, the Union is open to everyone. You may need your Staff Campus ID card for identification purposes.
Car parking for staff on the University’s Queensgate campus is limited and offered on a payment only basis via a lottery process. New members of staff may join a waiting list for allocation of a car parking permit as follows: - Permit for a fixed bay on campus at a cost of £720 per year taken from salary at £60 per month (pro rata for part time staff) ;or - Permit giving a licence to hunt for a car parking space in St Andrew’s Road on a first come first served basis at a cost of £240 per year taken from salary at £20 per month (pro rata for part time staff). This permit does not guarantee a space being available. Car parking is free for disabled staff who are blue badge holders.
You can opt out of the relevant pension scheme but you should ensure that you are fully aware of the financial consequences of doing so. You may also limit your opportunity to rejoin the scheme if your circumstances change again. We would suggest that you talk to your contact in Personnel or Payroll before making such a decision.
Any changes to address, title, marital status or next of kin details should be brought to the attention of Personnel in order that the necessary details can be kept up to date.
