EMERGE brings together research into the transition processes and performance of the emerging market economies of Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia and Africa. The disciplinary foci of this research include strategic management, international business, economics and marketing.
Research work within this group explores the unique nature of emerging markets and the challenges they face in a globalised world economy. The EMERGE group members conduct in-depth analysis and research on significant country, regional and global economic trends to assess the growth prospects and associated policy responses in emerging markets. Our research generates insights into the business environments and responses to rapid growth and industrialization in emerging markets, which may differ from experiences in developed economies.
