Biography

Before joining the department in August 2004, Antony worked as a Probation Officer for 19 years, in prisons and in the community. In 2000 he gained a PhD from the University of Southampton on masculinity and crime, based on research he did as a prison probation officer. During 2003 he was seconded to the Institute of Criminology at the University of Cambridge, where he wrote a theory manual for programme on man to man violence, based on his PhD research. Antony is a keen motorcyclist and a TT Marshall on the Isle of Man.
