Politicians and the History of Political Thought

Pete Woodcock is conducting a survey of MPs, asking how important political philosophy is to them, and which thinkers in particular have influenced them.  The purpose of this is twofold; firstly in order to get a sense of whether practitioners of politics are influenced by the same canonical thinkers that academics regard as being vital to the study of politics, and secondly to reflect upon what consequences the results of the survey have on curriculum building in politics.
