Our courses are both exciting and demanding and include criminology, sociology, politics and criminal justice. Psychology and counselling offer endless possibilities and provide access to many fascinating scenarios, learning environments and leading edge technologies plus theoretical techniques including eye movement tracking and extra sensory perception. You’ll still have to guess the lottery numbers though. Recent graduates are now working in a wide range of careers including personnel, central and local government, the civil service, public service, pressure groups, political parties, probation, the prison service, research, journalism, media, PR, education, health and social work. In fact you’d be surprised at how many careers require an understanding of the social sciences.
Many graduates also go on to complete further training to become professional psychologists or psychotherapists, counsellors, teachers and roles in the police, probation, community safety, youth work and prisons.
