The Digital Media course helps you to develop your practice in time-based, lens-based, interactive and electronic media.
It gives you the opportunity to gain an accurate grounding in conceptual and contextual contemporary practices. Plus it helps develop your skills in advanced research-driven projects through digital media.
You will be encouraged to become an imaginative, critical intellectual with a creative approach whilst encouraging your independent judgement, strategic decision making and reflective self-awareness, leading to advanced knowledge and practice within art and design. The MA in Digital Media provides three distinct areas of practice: Animation Our animation and motion graphics route has emphasis in 3D animation and stop motion animation with opportunity to pursue either narrative or experimental works. Students may also specialise in concept art or character design. Photography Fine art photography, constructed photography or the relation between photography and other media are emphasised. Applicants wishing to pursue photographic practice through its relation to other areas of lens based practice as well as advanced compositing post production and the intersection of photography and CGI are encouraged to apply.
