General minimum entry requirements are 300 points, depending on the type of qualification taken, which must include English GCSE at C or above.
In addition to the above, strong emphasis will be placed on the quality of your portfolio and a satisfactory interview.

The course provides a framework in which wide-ranging creative experiment and a rigorous understanding of the subject go hand-in-hand. Based in state of the art studio spaces in the flagship Creative Arts Building, a stimulating learning environment allows students to develop to their own individual strengths. This results in highly employable graduates with a real understanding of visual culture and the role of design in contemporary life. The staff team has a wealth of industry experience, and impressive national and international networks. There are plenty of live projects, and a superb guest speaker programme forms part of our contextual studies programme.
On this course you will benefit from our established industry links and state-of-the-art digital industry standard graphic design facilities.From a foundation in the essential elements of good design such as typography and layout, conceptual design and digital technology, you will develop your design skills through project and studio work.

Get the practical experience you need, either in a placement working in the industry, or as a part of our study abroad programme.
Graduates have gone on to work in consultancies, agencies and design groups, both in the UK and abroad, as studio designers, design managers, stylists, art directors, product development co-ordinators, freelance designers, visual merchandisers and buyers. There are also opportunities for entry into teacher training.
You will experience studio-based design projects, workshop demonstrations and practical sessions. Your progress will be monitored through the application of continual assessment techniques for all aspects of study.
