Graduate recruitment schemes

Employers in the UK recruit graduates by a variety of methods.

Large employers who recruit multiple graduates every year will most commonly run a graduate recruitment scheme. Graduate recruitment schemes usually accept applicants from October to December and successful applicants often commence work during the summer months.

Details of graduate recruitment schemes can be found on individual company websites and/or via employer directories such as:

Further sources of graduate recruitment schemes may also be found via the links in the Graduate jobs site section noted above. Hard copies of some of these directories are also available free from the Careers and Employability Service.

Please note that some UK graduate recruitment schemes will not accept applicants from non EEA students due to the two year time limit of many visas. It is advisable to check with any employer whether they accept applicants from international students with a Post Study Work Visa, before applying.

Graduate internships

Graduate internships are an opportunity to gain real life work experience, try your hand at a possible career, and prove yourself to a potential employer.
