Careers information for disabled students

Our aim is to offer an inclusive and accessible service and to ensure that students and graduates with a disability or dyslexia are not placed at a disadvantage in any aspect of career planning.

Our office is wheelchair accessible and our information can be made available in different formats if required. As a student with a disability we will work to ensure you have access to our full range of services; careers appointments and drop-in, workshops, employer presentations and printed resources.

How to gain additional help

If you require additional help, our service allows us to offer an enhanced one-to-one service for any student with a disability or dyslexia.

Disclosure of a disability

A common area of concern is how and when to disclose a disability to an employer. Legislation prevents employers from discriminating against any candidate because of a disability and obliges them to make “reasonable adjustments” to their recruitment practices or workplace to accommodate anyone with a disability.
