An interview is an opportunity for an employer to find out more about you and discuss your application in more detail. It is also a good opportunity for you to find out more about the organisation, the type of work you will be doing and about career development opportunities.
Remember you don't get a second chance to make a first impression.

Preparing for online interviews
Attending online interviews
Some employers are now asking students to attend interviews online via Skype for example, whereby you will be speaking with an interviewer online via web cam.
Answering pre-recorded interview questions online
You may even be asked to sit a pre-recorded interview whereby the interviewer is not even present but you will be asked a series of questions and you will be asked to record your answers and upload them to a specific website / web link sent to you by the employer.
Uploading a sales pitch of yourself
You may even be asked to send a type of 'video CV' to the employer whereby you are asked to video yourself saying for example; why you want the job, why you are a suitable candidate and what you have to offer the organisation.
There are variations of online interviews now being used.
