UCB is an attractive and historic building located in the heart of Barnsley next to the Town Hall. This small and friendly campus offers all the superb facilities and top-class learning opportunities you would expect from a large university. There is a strong emphasis on community and support which you do not always find at large universities and this ensures that all our students feel at home in Barnsley.
Investing in your future 
- A total of £5.5million has been invested in the University Campus Barnsley by the University of Huddersfield with the help of the Higher Education Funding Council for England, Yorkshire Forward and Objective 1, to provide top-class facilities.
- There are brand new specialist facilities for subjects such as Music and Music Technology, Art and Design, Digital Film and Early Years. We also have an entirely new IT infrastructure, including wireless technology throughout the building and a suite of creative and digital industries studios.

From 1 August 2013 University Campus Barnsley (UCB) will be managed by Barnsley College. UCB programmes commencing in September 2013 will continue to be validated by the University, and will lead to a University of Huddersfield award.
